Oven thermostat broken in San Jose, CA

Issue description:

If your stove is overheating or the knob of the temperature control turns without resistance, then most likely the oven thermostat needs to be replaced.

Problem solution:

Defective thermostat: Turn the oven on at minimum temperature or slightly more. Wait 7-10 minutes. A working thermostat will give a signal to turn off the heating. Open the door. A working thermostat will turn on the heating again (if there is an indicator, you will see how it will light up again).
