If your water filter is leaking, it might not be installed correctly.
To check and correct an incorrectly installed water filter, follow these steps:
Disconnect the water line from the refrigerator where it connects to the water source in the house.
The water filter can be in one of two places: on the right top corner of the refrigerator or behind the vegetable tray. If it's in the upper right corner of the refrigerator, remove the top glass shelf from the refrigerator so the filter can be easily removed. If it is behind the vegetable tray, remove the vegetable tray.
Inspect the water filter to make sure the clogging indicator mark on the filter aligns with the indicator mark on the filter cover. The lock indicator icon looks like a closed padlock.
If the lock indicator mark on the filter does not line up with the indicator mark on the filter cover, turn the filter clockwise until the marks match.
Connect the water supply. Check for leaks.
If there are no leaks, put the shelf or tray of vegetables in the refrigerator.
